Winter Pastels

Hello readers!
A trend that's peaking right now: pastels.
It's really hard to corporate pastels during winter as such pieces usually comes out in lightweight materials. I've been lusting over pastels that I had to force it in my outfit even if it's the middle of winter in Australia.
Okay, so I'm not drowning in pastels but that's the thing pastels aren't meant to be hardcore. Subtlety is the beauty of it.

I played around with textures carefully, a bit of here and there while keeping the colour uniform.
I'd like to take this moment to apologise about my super creased shorts. The reality is I'm not a model. I don't have assistants who will iron my shorts just before the shoot *sob.

Fun fact: I'm wearing nude stockings. Ladder resistant = amazing!
What do you think about my look? :)
Also my editing skills? Good enough or..? I worked really hard, that's gotta give me brownie points right?

Belated

Huwwo readers!

Excited I'm back? Me too =]
I'm been M.I.A in the blogging world because of the real world. I was having too much fun out and about with some good company. I've also been working quite lately, making it rain really ;)

Anyway, Reghimself's mum gave us a voucher of free lunch for two at Four Points by Sheraton Sydney's restaurant Corn Exhange. It was meant to be for his birthday but we couldn't make the time for it.

This is my first time dining in at Four Points but it's not my first being there. I did a week of work placement back in 2009 for my Hospitality class. I must say it was the best unpaid work experience by far. My duty was more on the front of house - polishing cutlery and glass, setting up A la Carte on the tables, clearing up plates. They were nice enough to show me some other things like being at the bar - made a couple of alcoholic/non-alcoholic drinks and room service. Oh vague memories.

I manage to snap some of the food that was served on the buffet. Luckily enough we were the first one to arrive.
LOL. So Asian of me to add rice in my plate right?
Beer and a bottle of house wine: FREE.
Although they didn't refill our water glasses :(

Walked around the QVB.
Lighting was immaculate at the escalators that we went twice just to get a photo.

Behind the scenes:
Hair update: After 12 days it's not as bright. Go self healing hair!
Can you guess who took the photo? hehe.

Stay tuned for my outfit post!

Orangutan

Hayo readers!

I'm legally a ranga now :) hehe. I've been wanting to lighten my hair for the longest time now. The last time I've seen my hair this bright was back in 2008.

Here's the process.
Used the Schwarzkopf Nordic Blonde L1 Intensive Lightener.
(I'll give my hair a good month rest then I'll dye it Ash Blonde hehe
Here's my bed hair. I slept with my hair in a bun.
As dirty as I felt, I didn't use any shampoo or conditioner on the day. I only washed it with lukewarm water.
Hair after 5-hour shift work. If you're wondering, yes, that is my real hair.
The hair stylist recommended to only do foils at the top half of my head and of course it was out of my budget.
Time for prep!
Applying the lightener took me exactly 1 hour considering I did it by feeling the back of my head.
By the time I was covering my head with cling wrap, my hair was already changing.
(*NOTE: The instructions stated that you must not cover your head lol. But I did it anyway. OOOO rebel!)
Left it on for another 30 minutes, et voila!
Here is the result!

I'm really happy how it turned out! I've received a lot of compliments :) My fave as of yet: "You're complexion has gotten brighter as well". Teehee ^^

HAUL | Anglicare Factory Summer Hill

Hiya readers!
So here's my long awaited haul in video form.

I had so much fun filming and editing it ^^ I found it quite awkward doing a voiceover but hopefully I get better at it! I don't know how I'm gna go about this. I'd like to shake things up a bit, change things around sometimes hehe.

Speaking of YouTube land here (whaaa? lol), I've been busy making new channels for my videos. I'm going a little crazy because my videos ranges so much that I had to separate them in categories or interests.

Therefore I'm keeping JLDMNG (my main channel) for anything kpop. That's where most of my subscribers came from and I know there's not very many of them at the moment but I'm grateful and I want to maintain them. So if you're into kpop - Big Bang and 2NE1 in particular, please subscribe! YAY!

Another source of my subscribers is all from my YFC (Youth For Christ) camp videos. I'm trying to be more involved than I already am and I'm pretty sure I'll be posting more videos up. If you're from my youth group, hollerrrrrrrr at yo gurll! That You Tube channel is JLDMNG4YFC - clever right?

As for my other interests which is fashion/beauty/travel, I placed the videos at jlmdng4versusreality. Every single video uploaded will be featured on a post so no need to subscribe, unless you're super duper cool then yes, please do ^^

I'm still contemplating whether I should make a new channel with my (singing) covers but I'm not brave enough haha :(

Brownie points to whoever guessed what "jldmng" is/stands for LOL. It's a no brainer really.
Til next time!

I love you, baby I'm not a monster

Herroo readers!

I have yet another reaction video to Big Bang's new song Monster. I convinced my sister, hnhmryl, to do this with me. It was really hard to not watch it as soon as it came out cos we wanted to record ourselves and our schedules kept clashing. Another is to at least look presentable/proper haha.

But yes, here it is. Check it out!

ps. A good friend of ours (Christella E.) sms'd me, and I quote,
"YOU AND HANAH ARE FREAKIN HILARIOUS!! Did not know how big of a fangirl yous were until now LOLLL I'm kinda proud :') I got up to like a minute and it was too awkward for me hahahaha but good on ya's."

That is why I don't publicised anything on Twitter or Facebook. I'm preventing the awkwardness between two parties :P I prefer randoms/strangers to watch my videos and read my blog rather than people I actually know.
