Army Inspired

Just another whole-day shinanigans with Reghimself.

I didn't really think the outfit through but it turned out pretty good hey? I wasn't planning to wear a hat originally but since my boyfriend decided to give his hat a rest I thought I'd give it a try. What do you think? :)

Also, did anyone notice my eyes? I tried the whole double-eyelid thing. Instead of using the eyelid tape, I used an eyelash glue. I know it sounds weird but I looked it up on YouTube and a lot of gurus do it too :P  I'm yet to perfect it still - where to place the glue as well as getting use to the fact that you can't blink fully hahahaha. Crazy huh? I just love how you can actually see my eyeliner and I didn't have to rub my eyelid all day because of the liner residue (if that makes sense?).

The bag and the ring are my new loves! Both are from Sydney Boutique Markets which is basically filled with stalls of designers and retailers. It allows them to showcase their products ranging from babies to adults. However, like many of these 'market' types, you really have to look for unique pieces that you won't find in large retail chains. Some can be really pricey and even if you really like you just have to say no. Unless you're drooling over it then might as well haha.
The bag cost me $20, I know it looks small but it's surprisingly roomy. It's black with a tinge of brownish purple and it's a velveted material. The owl ring cost me $15. The ring is elasticised making it so comfortable to wear. I had to get another ring with that type but this one is definitely my fav.

Putting beauty and fashion aside, these Build-Your-Own boxes got me intrigued! They are really one of a kind (I think so anyway lol) - it has the Ikea feel to it. They are very sturdy and well made. I just think they are such amazing pieces! There were many designs to choose from but I picked the "traffic" theme.
Reghimself and I had fun putting it all together but it was so easy that we finished it quick. We found ourselves admiring them. I kept the tissue box and the twin box which I still haven't used. I'm leaving it as a display, just for people to look at :P

I'm sorry for looking awkward haha
Japanese Ramen (pork & seaweed) $9.50

We ended the day with two bowls of delicious Ramen and a movie: Journey 2.

I've been really loving the Aztec designs lately. Even more that I just had to wear something Aztec two weekends in a row haha.
I was very hesitant on wearing the skirt on the night because of the way it was made. I fell in lust as soon as I saw it and immediately took my debit card out. It was not until I got home and tried it on that I realised that you can see through the skirt. The skirt itself is pretty much just a multiple soft thread weaved together with a thick waist band at the top. Even my parents didn't understand the trend, I quote, "it looks like something you could do yourself".. but I thought it worked so well with my white chiffon top and my wine wedges that I decided to go through with it. Laughed it off and left.
What's to tell you is that I received so many compliments (some a little inappropriate) from both genders throughout the night. "Tribal skirt", they call it. So from all that, the $45 was worth it :] But because it's such a statement piece, you won't be seeing me wearing it again in the near future.

FYI okay! We did not go in there looking like that. We fresh! But the damn photographers took their sweet ass time showing up. That's why we look all grotty - we shook our bootayys like there's no tomorrow. The candid looking shots were obviously stolen. We thought he wouldn't put them up on their official facebook page, but guess what the little bugger do? Yes.

Overall it was a good night out, I wasn't too dead the next day. Could it be all the Zumba sessions I've been taking? *fingers crossed.

Seriously, who let this child in?
xx.

Jasmin's Birthday

Hi all :]
I lagged this post so much (but then again that's how it is with all my blog entries).

My sister's birthday was on the 3rd of January and this baby of the family turned 11. Time flew by so fast!
I keep thinking that she's only seven years of age haha. She organised her little get together with her friends - sending out invites, making sure they rsvp and the simple decoration (first photo).

Hanah and my Dad both couldn't make it cos of work :(
And yes.. She had three different outfits that she wore on the day *sigh

Not long after the food had settled in our stomachs we went out to the park and the kids played a game or two of badminton and volleyball.
I couldn't help but to snap photos of my stylish boyfriend while he sets up the net. I wasn't much help, I can tell you that haha.

Damn my big head! >.>

And of course I can't end this post without showing you my outfit right? :P
Hillary and I had a little too much fun taking photos that we ended up with 78 frames! yikes. Here we go..
