A date with my sister

Haiii readers!
My sister, hnhmryl, and I went on an adventure earlier this week. Not so much an adventure but a chilled hangout :) Lemme tell you how "chill" this is. I'm wearing my go-to leather jacket, favourite (worn out) combat boots and my everyday-reached shoulder bag.

We recorded bits and bobs of our day.. Not so much inside the warehouse only because we only had an hour left to shop.

Enjoy..

Saw One Direction and took a photo with them. They were just across the street but I was shy..
Waiting for our train
Free side dishes { kimchi | seaweed | bean sprouts | sweet potato }
Deep Fried Chicken in Spicy Sauce $18
Boiled Dumplings $10
Seafood Pancake $12

Stay tuned. Haul post or video will be up soon yay!

There was something in my eyes..

Hi all :)

I was doing my daily reads on my blogger's dashboard, saw a post by Alyssa from Ordinary People and really wanted to share this video which was actually uploaded a few days ago.
No I'm not gonna lie and say "There was something in my eyes.. like a big rock or something". I am a sucker for anything sweet like this! As a matter of fact, I'm a sucker for anything sad or happy moments. I'm a cry-er plop.

Anyway, do check it out :]

HOTD: Staircase Braid

Unprepared. I thought it's hilarious!
troll.

Heyyo readers!

Here's my "Hair(style) Of The Day" :] I don't think staircase braid is the proper name of this but it reminded me of a twisted staircase so yah ^^

I included a short video of me - it was definitely awkward filming at Tafe haha!

Hope you're all well

Nuffnang Movie Event: Iron Sky

Guten tag readers! :)

Last night, Reghimself and I went to see the pre-screening of Iron Sky at La Premiere at Hoyts, Entertainment Quarter hosted by @HoytsAustralia and @nuffnangAU.

There was a little bit of delay getting there due to the SheRunsTheNight event making the some of the roads closed. Being our first time, we weren't sure where to park either. After all that trouble, we walked (plus a little near-falls haha) towards the La Premiere area. I was told to look for someone named Kimberly otherwise asked the friendly staff where she is. None of the staff knew where she is let alone who Kimberly is --. Then we saw a lady with the name tag and of course, she's asian. Should've known by the last name to look for an asian lady haha! She was very lovely and welcoming towards us.
She then took us to Cinema Paris where we were all suppose to meet up. Some of the bloggers were already there. The tour began there and back to the La Premiere section.

As you can tell by the photos, the cinema's feel is classy. They even had a bar and a food menu to be delivered while you're watching the movie. It's like Gold Class.

They gave us free popcorn and a bottle of water - Mount Franklin, my fave! I managed to down mine and  Reghimself's half empty popcorn tub lol. So salty, the way I like it.

The movie was so-so. It had some funny moments here and there, also a bit of gruesomeness.
Reghimself said it reminded him of the movie Sucker Punch - colour setting that is.

Danke Nuffnang and Hoyts!

One man's trash is another man's treasure

Harro readers!
I'm back =]

I went thrifting (or us Aussies like to call it - op shopping) around Penrith about two weeks ago. If you're not familiar with op shops, it's basically a charity store filled with donated secondhand goods. Salvation Army aka Salvos sells  just about everything from clothing, to furnitures, to home wares. This one is my defs my fave! They always have 50% off on clothing. Everyday is a different coloured tags. Lifeline also sells the same things though a little more pricey - I haven't seen many of these around. Anglicare shops are more on clothing. They tend to have better quality-looking stock and by that I mean less smelly and no obvious stains and pulls haha plus their store seems more organised. With the effort they seem to put in might be the reason why their items are quite pricey than the rest.

What you'll need:
patience - look through everything, you don't wna miss a good piece.
open mind - remember that it's not your regular retail store, things will have a scent and not every item is in perfect condition. Think of what you can do with an item, make it your own.
cash - or a debit/credit card. Most thrift stores have a minimum eftpos of $10. So if you're willing to spend more than the minimum amount then you're good to go.
carry bag - some shops don't provide any and with some you have to pay for one (Salvos 95c)

Here's all the items I happily invested:
Lifeline | Teal oversized jumper | Medium | $12
I'm usually a xs - s type of girl but this fit me really good, I didn't have to fold the sleeves. It came with thick shoulder pads - thank goodness it was detachable!
^ Salvos | Red bloch pattern zip-up blouse | no size but assuming it's 8 | $6 cut down to $3
This one really stood out for me. Loved the pattern, collars and zipper. I wasn't to fond of the shoulder pads at first but when I tried the top on, you can barely notice, it actually add something to it.
^ Salvos | Cream High-neck long sleeve top | no size, looks like a kids top lol  $5 cut down to $1
I think it really is a kid's top because the neck line is really small but to my defence, I got it from the ladies section!
Super duper comfortable!
^ Salvos | again, no size but assuming it's a S | $5
I have no idea what to call this skirt. The pattern is to die for! I'm getting really fond of the pattern (see scarves below).
Elasticised thick waist band; tutu feeling; satin-like material
^ Lifeline | Sheer Sparkly 3/4 sleeve dress | M | $6
I'm not quite sure if it's a dress since it's a size medium. I will wear it as a dress with a body con skirt under just in case :P
It's really stunning on, I just wish I had a sewing machine to stitch the arms tighter.
^  Salvos | Sheer Kimono throw over | size 16 | $5 cut down to $1
It looks better in person! I know it's winter now, but defs a good use for spring/summer.
^ Salvos | Marble Denim Jeans | size 14 kids |  $8 cut down to $4
Zomgg, this jeans fits me like a glove! I was ready to check out my items when I saw this in the corner of my eye. Pretty sure it's not branded, it's from Target but I don't care :]
^ Salvos | Fun Patterned Oversized Jacket | $8
Fits quite big on me, but it's such a fun looking jacket. Couldn't say no to it! Did I mention warm?!
^ Salvos | Large Square/ Rectangular Scarves  | $2 each

Here's me modelling the items on my balcony. I apologise for the lighting inconsistency. It was hard trying to catch the light. Damn daylight savings =="
