'Me' time

I haven't been paying attention to my inner blogger self lately so for tonight/today's post might be a long one . Thought I'd give you a little heads up :P

Christmas presents
I started early thinking about what to give my family for Christmas this year :) Ever since the start of November, I've been out and about collecting gifts with the help of Reghimself.

Mum & Dad: Chocolate Fondue Set and Chocolate Fountain [K-mart]
- We've always adored other people's set whenever we go to family parties.
They were $12 each so I thought why not get both?
I want to get my Dad something else.. like a new toy. And by toy I mean something electronic-cally haha. He loves fiddling around those things. Suggestions, imaginary readers? lmao.

Hanah: In____ha Season 1 DVD [Gametraders]
- I blanked it out because I know she reads my blog :P
This is very simple gift (yet pricey) that I'm sure she'll love. If you know her personally, you'll know she's a geek haha. I'm contemplating on getting her something bigger in size so it looks good in a wrapping paper lol.

Hillary and Jasmin: Black Wii !!! :] + Mario Kart [K-mart]
- Something my family of 6 is lacking of. This is something for our (rare) family night ins and since the kids will be on summer holiday.

+ Birthday presents
Mum (birthday present): Zumba on Wii [JB HI-FI]
- They had the cheapest one $34! My mum's been wanting to dance to Zumba since forever! She really wants to loose that back fat of hers haha! I got it on Wii because first it was cheap, and second because we'll have a Wii now! yayyyy ^^
Hillary (birthday present): Authentic purple Vans [Karmaloop.com]
- She's been begging me to get her Vans (even I don't own one!) and I've been pretending to ignore her request just so I can get her this for her birthday lul sneaky. Anyway I got it on a size 6. Hopefully it fits her :/ If not, I'll wear double thick socks since I'm a size 5.5 haha
Jasmin's birthday present is still TBA but! I'm looking at buying her a cheap digital camera cos that guurl is a serious L.U.V.O I'm tellin' ya!

Aww typing in colours was so much fun! hahaha. I promise I'll post some pictures up after they've opened them up :P
I'm a quite sad that I'll be working on Hillary and my mum's birthday AND Christmas eve (well I finish at  6pm) and then there's New Year's Day. So bummed! I guess I should just think about the money money money!

That is all for now!

Pavilion and Star Bar

My OOTN :]

Self timer at Central Station
Check out my make-shift puffed sleeves :P
Just a chilled night out with two of my girls at the city to celebrate Jess finishing her first year of Uni wooo! And if you're wondering why I'm dressed "mature" (lol) I'm not sure either, I felt like it at the time.   Jess pointed out that she's seen my necklace worn by a model which made my smile from ear to ear :]
Anyone know which one she's referring to? :P

We spent our night in two bars (Pavilion and Star Bar) drinking and talking despise the loud music. We did a little dancing but that wasn't the point of the night lol. I thought Star Bar's interior was ze bomb! You'll feel like you're in space hence the "Star Wars" inspired design. The Pavilion Bar  had cheaper drinks though.
Taken on Regie's iPhone LOL

I found Star Bar's bathroom so trippy :]
Midori & pineapple juice; Vodka & Redbull; Alize & lemonade; $5 cocktail of the night (I didn't catch the name)

These 3 guys (below) approached us at the end of the night. I found them so funny, especially the Japanese guys - they are so animated! :P They said they came in Australia 2 weeks ago and their Chinese mate is showing them around.
I taught them the English alphabet yay ^^ They still need to work on the accent though hehe.

Fine Dining

Reghimself and I were invited (by our friend, Mary Pham) to dine at a training restaurant called The Apprentice located at Ultimo. Similar to where I study, both the waiters/waitresses and chefs are students who are training to provide a fine dining service.

We arrived quite late due to the heavy rain causing delays to the train. Since we are so skilled at eating we caught up with the crowd :]

Here's some snaps!

Reghimself's appetiser: Grilled Salmon Pressed Sushi

My appetiser: Caprese Custard
[Caprese (kap-ray-zee) salad is a classic Italian appetiser. Salad of freshly sliced tomatoes interleaved with slices of mozzarella, torn basil leaves and dressed in olive oil]

The maitre D' and also our waitperson for the night.

Pretty pleased with his orders haha

Table #5: trying out some Pinot Noir!

Well done Mary ^^

My entree: Fried Stuffed Mushrooms with Creamy Spinach
It was yummy as! Definitely my fave dish for the night!

Reghimself's entree: Spiced Chicken and Lentil Salad

My main course: Pork Chops with Carrot and Parsnip Puree and Cider Sauce

Reghimself's main course: Greek Style Lamb Rack with Grilled Polenta and Zucchini

Pour me another glass of water please :D

My Dessert: Green Tea Mille Crepe with Fruits

Reghimself's dessert: Goat's Cheese Cake with Raspberry Glaze
I'm a fan of goat's cheese now!

Some deets! We only had to pay $30 all together ($15 p/h)! Our first drinks which was the wine were free ^^
Really great deal!
We headed to the station right away only to find out that our train will be delayed to another hour! We took more photos around the station but didn't go far cos everywhere was wet -.-

Look! No hands!

I ended up sleeping on his shoulders the whole trip back (with a little drool here and there.. haha).

Thanks for reading!
